JT Strong arm and Battery box
I did a search for comments that forum members put in about JT Strong arm stabilizers and the battery box but no one seemed to have a problem. Well I just finished installing the front bars and noticed that I cannot fully retract the landing gear without hitting the battery box. Has anyone else encountered this problem???

Yes, same thing here
I have the same thing with mine but i guess i wouldn't consider it a problem as the stabilizers still come up plenty far enough for any clearance issues. I just raise mine up until i am about 1/4 inch from the battery box and everything is just fine. We love the JT's and would definitely recommend them to anyone that was undecided. Mark

Thanks. I guess just raise the legs till they hit the box or close to it.
Did you have any problems with the rear bars?? I see we have the same wildcat although mine is a 2008.

No, didn't have any issues with the rear ones. I just mounted them with steel plate that already exsisted on out Cat in front of the rear hitch. Haven't had any problems yet and have taken 5 trips with the JT's. Good Luck, and hope you enjoy the new mod. Mark

If you can take pictures so we can see your problem, that would help tremendously.
I have JTs and they don't even come close to the battery box. Is it possible you've got them mounted too far back on the frame?
You really need to get the legs all the way up, or you'll risk bending them if you go up or down a steep incline.

I had a similar problem when I installed my Steadyfast Stabilizers. The manufacture said that the support could be moved so that the angle was different without any problem.

Re: JT Strong arm and Battery box
Thanks to all that replied. I finished installing the stabilizers and they came out perfect. Yes one of the arms hits the battery box, but I found out that I can raise the legs up most of the way and I have enough clearance. And they work as advertised, NO MOVEMENT in the trailer

Re: JT Strong arm and Battery box
When I fitted my stabilisers I moved the central bracket as far forward as possible to miss the battery box, so I do not have any problems.

I had the same problem, and fixed it the same way Matt (K8MLP) did. I used a 2x2 picket to build the frame. Now my battery box clears the jt's by about an inch with the landing gear full up.
