date of posts.

Post by BobnPi on 7/10/2011, 5:09 am

I was just wondering why the year is not included in the date of posts. Sometimes I wonder how far back the post originated. Question scratch

Not sure what you are seeing, however, I see full date (and time) of the most recent post in the Topics Listing for each Forum and also in each post (just below the Subject next to the name of the poster).

BobnPi,
Check that again. Mine shows dates. Occasionally, though, I've had a glitch that Phillip was able to fix. Might be that the phpBB people made some "improvements" that messed you up. Hopefully, if this is the case, it's been resolved by those phpBB folks.

What I see is something like this: Sun 17 Jul - 11:54

There is no year in the date.

It may be related to your Windows settings. Go into "Control Panel" and then "Regional and Language Options". Next, click on the "Regional Options" tab if it isn't already displayed.

In here you will see a drop down list of regions... I'm assuming you have English (United States) selected. If not you may want to select it. The long date format (in the samples displayed) for mine this morning is "Tuesday, July 19, 2011".

I don't know if this may help or not, but it's at least worth checking. Hope it helps.

Bob,

Look in your "Profile" under "Preferences". At the bottom is the "Date Format". See what you have there. I have a feeling this is where your issue is.

I agree, try the profile here in the forum before you make changes in your control panel - unless this problem isn't limited to just this forum.

After taking a quick glance at this, I would have to agree with Ed that this is probably the issue lol!
