Cleaned the roof

Post by oldelmer1 on 6/28/2011, 2:05 pm

Yesterday, we cleaned the roof, washed it with Spic and Span with Murphy soap combo and rinsed, then sprayed it down Tilex and brushed it around after 5 minutes of soaking, then washed it again with Spic and Span and Murphy soap combo. As I was washing the roof, DW was washing the sides to keep the oxidation from sticking onto the decals and the driveway.

Today, went up and rubbed the entire roof with 303 Aerospace Protectant, boy does the roof look clean and shiny, and boy am I sore!!!!!!

Good thing this only happens 1 a year.......

Anyone use the 303 Aerospace Protectant on their fiberglass instead of car wax??????

I washed my roof the other day and it still has stains where somebody walked on the roof with their dirty shoes nothing seems to remove it. Havn't tried Murphys yet or spic and span just the roof soap from camco.

I still had some shoe marks too, but the 303 seemed to remove them, with a lot of rubbing.

Was up there again today, and roof is slick, of course, I just had socks on, dont want any shoe prints yet!!!

That is one of the items I can's figure out how to get done while here at Ft. Knox. The good news is my insurance paid for a new roof late last season so it still looks pretty good anyway. the Kitty woun't be back home in Winona until early June of '12; hope the roof stays clean enough until then.

Mother Nature does all the roof washing on my Wildcat. Perhaps some day I'll help out.

Dead tree limb broken off by a storm (rotation which did not touch ground) that pierced the roof in the bedroom area. I'll post some pics later.

Here are a couple of pics; only one limb.

Rumor has it that Sharon cleaned the roof while Tom was sipping iced tea and urging her on. Shocked
