Re: Firestone Air Bags
I have had air bags on the GMC 2500 for 6 months and I am still not satisfied with the ride. They do raise the truck to level (around 40# for a pin weight of 1700#) but then the ride is as stiff as a board. Is it just me or are they not all they are cracked up to be?

I had air bags on my Land Rover and found I had to play with the Air pressure to get a good ride when towing and when solo. different pressure's for both applications.

I don't have that issue on my Dodge with airlift brand bags. I run 5 psi empty and up to 65 psi depending on the load and the roads.

Re: Re: Firestone Air Bags
I just came home yesterday from down near Pueblo, CO and my bags were at 40# and perfect!
Not sure why your having such a hard ride / time dialing them in......?
How do your truck shocks look? brand new, "well worn", missing.......? Could be part of the problem.

That might be contributing to your hard ride. I have stock shocks with the air bags and all is good.
Try lowering the Rancho setting to your "around town" setting. (3 or 4?)
Might be the combo of the hard shocks and 40lbs in the air bags are giving you the bone jarring ride.....
Hope you get it dialed in!
Good luck!
