Odyssey 2011

Post by gkeager on 6/10/2011, 1:35 am

New MorRyde pin box, replacement Dexter EZ Flex and four new Carlisle tires and were off to higher, cooler elevations for the summer! Leaving on Monday the 13th and returning ?????? I'll try to post some pics from time to time but some of our boondocking is rather remote so "social media" coverage is, should I dare say, GONE! It's not really roughing it with a Wildcat in tow but it is kind of nice to not be constantly bombarded with TV, radio, phones, etc. NOT knowing everything about Palin, Weiner, Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Casey Anthony, Obama, congress (I could go on and on) is quite a vacation in itself. Hopefully we can fill the void with fishing, golfing, camping and sight-seeing. I hope all of you have a wonderful summer. Cool

Have a great Odyssey 2011. Try to keep in contact when you are near civilization, if you can. Most of all, just relax and have fun!

Glen,
Glad to hear you will be joining the club next year. Sometimes we wish we could have retired at 62 - before the health issues began. Not complaining, though. We still get out in spite of the health issues.... we just have to work around some things.

Same here, as should be pulling out on Sunday, heading north, up along the Oregon Coast and into WA state to visit son and grandson. From there, heading east to maybe Minnesota or Wisconsin, then head south down to Colorado Springs for a convention. Still heading south, to Taos, Santa Fe, Shiprock, 4 corners, Flagstaff, Las Vegas then home. Figure about 5-6 weeks... Off and on internet I am sure... everyone have a good summer..

If you come up behind a CAT with this tire cover, give me a honk as you go by...
