Well I have a craked Frame interior removal advise needed.
I too am a member of the I hate Lippert Group as I just found out today that my front cross-member ( the one tied to the pin box) it cracked left and right just next to the welds. It has also moved up ward about an inch. I know that I am never going to see Lippert repair this so I went to a local shop that I trust and they told me that it was not a hard fix but it would require the removal of the floor in the master area of my 29BHBP. Now I am searching for any advice on the removal of the interior. I would have them do it but they told me if i do it I can save $500 of the cost of the repair. Any help is appreciated. Horror pics to follow.

i do not have any permanent movement in mine yet. It seems to return back to normal when it is at rest. I have contacted forest river and they are going to get my info to lippert. Rod says that I will get a fast response. I am really not expecting much, but it is worth a try. Most likely I will be repairing it myself also.... keep in touch i would like to know how your progress. I will do the same. good luck!

I'll be checking mine. I have the loose and missing screw symptoms. Never new it was something so serious. Sounds like there are some serious problems with Lippert lack of quality.

I do not have any ripping in that area yet, it is on the bottom of the tube where the gusset is.

Where do you look to check this? Do you have to remove any panels?

Remove the trim around the kingpin and it should allow you to see in there a little better. The area is around where the tube meets the front of the kingpin.

This is something Scruffy is going to have to check before we go on any long trips. So far we don't have any indications of a problem, so maybe we can prevent any before they happen. Gotta get a closer/better look though.

So here is the new question. What happens if I remove the black fabric under the floor? The shop has a plan to repair the trailer and it involves 1/4 inch H beam 1/4 x12 gussets and two new 1/4 wall 4x4 stringers to spread the load out. My only questions now are can I remove the black plastic Barrier and can I then Reinsulate with rigid foam? The shop wants to use H beam instead or box due to inaccessibility of the top of the frame.

Tore the interior out today and lifted up the floor. Good access through that panel for the repair shop. Hoping to get it done for the orig estimate of $600-800.

Interior wasn't very difficult to remove just had to find all the screws attaching the cabinets and bed frame to the walls and floor. I then was able to pull up the floor covering just the section above the pin box. There where six nails holding it in. After that I loaded the furniture in the living room area and took it to my local shop. When I arrived I noted how much the front beam was not o ly cracked but bent upwards. The shop inspected the rest of the frame and told me that everything else looked good.
