Blue Heron Campground, Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area (NPS), KY
This is a relatively small (45 site) campground in southeastern KY. It is about 24 miles south of Somerset and 7 miles east of Stearns. All sites are E/W; there are no full hoop ups. Many sites are very small; only a few would take our 29RLBS. We were very happy with our site, it was large and roomy. No one was near our curb side; we looked only at trees when sitting under the awning.
While the campground was nice there was a lot of daytime noise due to children, dogs and ADULTS. The days when people tried not to disturb their neighbors were not in evidence. It did quiet down well after 9 PM.
Here is our rig on site 44:

Very nice campsite. Don't think I would like noisy neighbors. Were you there mid-week or on a weekend?

Here for Memorial Day weekend. I arrived here with the camper on Wednesday but went back to work on Thursday. Picked up DW in Louisville after work that day and drove here arriving a little after 10 pm. Other folks mostly arrived Friday.
