Greetings from New Member/Owner from Colorado

Post by Jackman on 5/27/2011, 8:31 am

Hello everyone. We just bought a 2007 Wildcat 26FBS. First time owners of a travel trailer. We are pulling it with a 3/4 ton GMC Yukon. We are in the process of stocking it for our first outing this weekend. Wow its like moving into a new house!!! Anyway looks like lots of good information on this website.

I do have a quick question if thats kosher. I cant find the Galley drain valve. There is a Black water and Gray water drain but so far no luck locating the Galley drain valve. Any ideas??

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

welcome to the Wildcat forum. Can't help you with the valve question, but I'm sure someone here can give the answer you need.

When we got our Cat, we bought all sorts of stuff for it, then realized we had better stuff in the Cat than in the house. Still do.

Welcome! Glad you're here.

Not sure about your particular model. Would it be possible that the galley and bath share the same tank, and valve?

According to the specs I just read, there is a total of 37 gallons for the gray water tank. That would lead me to believe there is only one, shared by the bath and galley.

Hi Jackman welcome to the forum. On your little panel the tells you your fresh water level, black water, and gray water level. If doesn't have a galley level on it I would have to go with AVid on this, and say there is only one tank for the gray water.

welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here. Please feel free to ask any question you may have. Great people here and tons of information.

From the information above, I'd agree that you only have one grey water tank. You may want to call whomever you purchased it from and ask them to be sure.

Thanks for the quick responses. My monitor does have a galley level on it. I crawled around underneath this afternoon with no luck yet.

I think I would do this. Make sure the grey tank is empty and the valve closed. Run the water in the galley for a few minutes. Turn off the water, then go open the valve and see if any water comes out. If it does, then repeat the process with the shower or bath sink. If water comes out too, then for sure you have one tank, one valve.

Sometimes the most simple answer is the best. I feel smarter for having read this. Or dumber for not having thought of it myself. lol!

welcome to the forum. I do not know for sure but, according to the specs found on line you have a grey tank and a black tank. The galley, shower and bath sink must share the grey tank.
