Back Porch

Post by Scruffy and Tater on 5/23/2011, 7:56 am

We've been very busy lately. We built a roof over our patio and got it finished a day before the first guests arrived for our wedding anniversary celebration.

Here are the before and after pics of the porch:

Our last guests left this morning. Now it's time to catch up on the forum.

Very nice, nothing like a screened in porch to sit in and watch the world go by without any bugs.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

In the first photo you can see our temporary doggie fence (for when our granddoggers come to visit). Before building the patio cover, we put in a prettier/bigger doggie fence (it's big enough that it doesn't show up in the close-up photo of the finished porch). Our home sits on just a tad over 1 acre, and we love it. It keeps us busy.

We keep dreaming about the pool. Had pools at 3 other houses. Now we say when we can't travel anymore, we'll have a pool put in. Heck, when we get too old to travel, we won't be able to do anything anyhow. Laughing

We saw a lot of these Mickey lights in Fort Wilderness at WDW, and just had to have one. It's too big to be hauling around in our 29rlbs, but it looks real nice on the porch.
