I just couldn't resist!

Post by onetonford on 5/22/2011, 6:39 am

Saw a post by another person that he uses load locks for stabilizers so I changed mine from the ones in front that I had and incorperated the load locks into them works great and only need 1 click to thighten.

This is what they looked like before.

Now with the Rachetts.

Then all you do to release them is to fold handle all the way back an bring your jacks up and thats it.

The load locks came from home depot about 20 bucks apiece and The rod eyes I had from old job. Can't remember how much they cost. I just ground the rivets off at the end pads removed the shoes and cut ten inches off of each end used the old end caps with the rod eyes installed riveted them together made a new bracket at the landing gear legs. That way if I don't like them I can put my old ones back on.

What amazed me the most was the fact I did not weld anything to make them work and it is alot better than the old ones which would not take up slop at ends unless you dropped the jacks slightly which always worried me that I might damage the jacks.
