Slide out problem, need your help!
The living room slide out is not fitting tight on the side. The gap is on the left side facing the slide out from inside of the camper. The gap starts about 2 inches from the top and goes down about a foot. The gap is about 1/2 inch at the top to 1/8 inch at the bottom. The top seems to fit okay in the corner and the right side is fine. Is this a fix I can do? or do I need a repairman? right now I can stuff a rag in the gap and it stops the cold from entering. Yep 38 this morning:( I just noticed the gap recently but the unit has been on a road trip from from Florida to Wyoming and has been used everyday since 3/4. The unit will be going to Alaska so it will see a lot more miles.
I also want to grease the slide out track. The track looks dry. What kind of grease should I use? also the disk(white plastic) on the pin box that everyone seems to buy, what kind of grease for that?
Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom,
Not sure I can give you advice on the slide out gap and how to adjust it.
As for greasing the track (and any other external moving part of the Cat) I would HIGHLY recommend stopping at a Camping World or an RV dealer and asking for a "Dry Lube" spray. It lubricates but its dry so dirt and road grime wont stick to it and cause even more issues.
Works fantastic on my slide tracks and scissor jack worm gears!
Safe travels and enjoy your trip to Alaska! (would love to make that trip some day!)
Forgot to comment on the white disk question, AKA "lube plate". Its polyethylene so it does not need any grease. It was designed to take the place of greasing the 5th wheel so if you have one, you are good to go!!

Re: Slide out problem, need your help!
The only thing we grease is the pin. I am assuming the slide is out. We had to move ours toward the rear. Not a hard job to do. The mechanics and slide are mounted so far out of place that the slide is as far back as it can go and still needs another 1/4 inch. After U center it U may have to move the seals on the side. Also sounds like your slide is not level. I adjusted mine until the floor of the slide was the same as the trailer floor. Need to be kinda careful with this one. I was not paying attention and I got messed up. The only thing I will not touch is the in and out travel on the slide. Noppers.

While on a trip, our big slide wouldn't go all the way out. We could see light all along one side. We looked in our Lippert manual (found it on-line), and Scruffy figured out how to make an adjustment. It has worked fine ever since.
Here is our post regarding the incident and the solution:
