an easy smore'

Post by nd24peace on Wed May 11, 2011 10:12 am

We found for our little friends down the street, a new way to make smore's. We use fudge stripped cookies and flavored marshmellows (love coconut ones). We just roast the marshmellow and put it in between two cookies.. Not quite as messy for the little guys and us grown ups too... There are several flavors of mashmellows to chose from

If you dont mind the mess, substitute carmellows chocolate with caramel instead of the traditional hershey's. Going to have to try the cookies....thanks!

We made some using Hershey's Cookies and Cream bars and I'll do some with white chocolate when I get my goodie package from Germany.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who gets a hankering for s'mores outside of the cg. You know you're desperate when you set your electric burner to high and stick a marshmallow over it to brown. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Plenty of other contenders. Shoot, we've tried just about everything from Lindt and Ghiradhelli's to Toblerone.

It's ALL good!! headbanger headbanger

Yes I have used Ghirardelli and a few I can't remember. I went away from hersheys because My union and theirs was the same and I support my brothers.

We tried a variation over the weekend...instead of the fudge stripped cookies, we used the chocolate covered grahams instead. It was a hit around the camp fire!!
