Forest River 2nd year warranty

I have heard some folks on here talking about a second year warranty available from Forest River, how do I go about inquiring about that, I purchased our Cat from RVW do I call them or go straight to FR.

I am sure others will give you more information, but from what I understand you get it directly from FR. I haven't picked up my FW yet hope to this week and there is supposed to be paperwork included for me to fill out and send in to FR with a check for the 2nd year warranty.

I bought my camper from RVW. They never told me about the 2nd year since they wanted to sell me theirs. When I asked about it, they said that Forest River will send info to you in the mail. That was wrong! there should be a card in your info packet that needs to be filled out and returned to Forest River with payment. Be aware that you only have a short time to respond (I missed out on mine since I was expecting something from FR in the mail)

Yeah, when we did the paperwork our dealer gave us a sheet of paper with info on it to sign and send a check for $150.00 to FR but you only have 10 days to send it back. we didn't get it cause our dealer said originally we got a 2 year warranty and we could get a 3rd year for $150.00. We were all for that. but the paper said second year. Long story short, called Rod Batts and he said no, only one year so we decided against it. We already had 2 years on most of the warranty stuff anyway. You may want to look into further.

Our dealer also pulled the Forest River 2nd year warranty paper work out of our packet. After trying to sell us their overpriced warranty I kept insisting that I only wanted the Forest River extented warranty. They led me on until after the deadline had passed but after talking to Beverly Scott and filling her in on the crap the dealer pulled she was able to get the ok from Forest River HQ to let me buy in a few days after the deadline.

Bottom Line, never hurts to ask !!

I am thinking I am WELL past the 10 days from purchase, I will still check with FR since we havn't had the unit for a year yet.

My was a freebee. Got lucky I guess.
