Concertone !!!
Pulled my fifth wheel out today. Everything works except the radio/dvd/cd...The red light is on but I cannot turn it on by pushing the button or using the remote. I put a new battery in just in case it was an easy fix. Still getting ready for a short trip so if anyone has a suggestion I'm all ears. I'm ready for a cold one or two but I still have work to do.

Re: Concertone !!!
try disconnecting power from it by pulling fuse in power converter I think that is how to reset the unit I read that on another forum I think boy getting older sure makes it hard to remember.

Hey Guys - Sorry I have been MIA - I have been having computer issues and finally broke down and bought a new one. The excitement of a new computer quickly wears off when you realize how much work you need to do to load everything on it so it actually can work for you!
Anyway, springtime had has certainly increased calls to the company and thankfully rebooting works most of the time.
I hope you're all well and enjoying the nicer weather!

Re: Concertone !!!
Anyone experience the Concertone coming on by its lonesome? I have had it do that, and not knowing it, runs down the battery. I have yet begun to think just what gremlin is inside it. I first thought it was the Remote, and possibly the ON/OFF button getting depressed when in transit, but nope, that isnt it. I asked the guy at the repair place about it, and he asked me if I had a slideout? yeah, I do, but what does that have to do with it on this 313RE as it is in the back located next to retractable TV. I guess I should just pull the fuse and be done with it until I want to use it. Just curious if anyone else is having this malfunction?

Re: Concertone !!!
Yes, my radio (concertone Z75) comes on by it self and a speaker starts beeping until the radio is turned off. It actually came on yesterday while sliding out the slides. I did turn it off and slid out the slides again but it did not turn back on. It usually comes on by itself once in awhile without any action on my part. I am about 3 months out of my two year warranty. It has been happening for about four months. At first it was sorta amusing but now it is annoying as it could run the batteries down. With a 2006 Wildcat TT I owned before my present 2010 28 RKBS the concertone was replaced once in warranty and once out of warranty. Rod Batts was a big help with that. I just sent Rod Batts a email about this present problem asking for help with this (a replacement unit). We will see what happens. I will update the forum with the outcome of this.

Re: Concertone !!!
Maybe there are some wires crossed somewhere - hopefully where you can get to them.... maybe around the converter. Also, check the wiring in back of the Concertone. Maybe you won't have to replace the unit.

Re: Concertone !!!
I just sent a response to Taters suggestion but it did not show up so I will repeat. Thanks Tater for the suggestion. The radio has been in and out a couple of time to replace cable wire ends. The turning on by itself actually started before that. I will try to remove the power as suggested above (reboot) and see if that helps.

Re: Concertone !!!
My 2011 did the same thing when I first got it, and it actually drained the battery dry. Asking the tech, he said it had something to do with the slideout (????)
dont make sense to me, but hasnt done it now for afew months....strange gremlins in these RV's...

Re: Concertone !!!
I emailed Rod Batts about the problem and let him know I was a couple of months out of warranty. I ask him if he could help as he has in the past with a forest river TT I had. He emailed me back and said as a goodwill gesture he would send me a new up dated radio. He advised the hole would have to be 1/2" bigger. He wants me to first remove and send him my radio which I am going to remove from the 5th wheel tomorrow. I emailed him yesterday and he replied back this morning.

The link above is what the dealer replaced mine with (mine actually does not say Concertone, but instead reads Genesis GT 3.0). I installed it and am still very pleased. I use it every time we camp and never had a glitch. As far as the hole, it was an exact fit.

Re: Concertone !!!
Today I received the replacement radio that Rod Batts sent. It is a Genesis GT-2.0. I did have to make the hole a bit bigger. It plays well. Hopefully it will last.
Kudos to Rod Batts for helping me get it replaced out of warranty and in just over a week. Thanks Rod.

I just tried to upload a picture and got this message: The size of all the pictures is higher than the allowed limit. You cannot send more. Do not know how I guess?

Re: Concertone !!!
If you tried to upload to the gallery, it is very likely that the gallery has reached it's limit. It will cost us more to increase the limit.
You can upload as many photos as you like here in the message board. Try to keep the size of the photos around 1000x750 or 800x600. I don't know if that will make a difference or not, but any bigger than that isn't necessary. I use 800x600 when I load pics.

Well I sent an email to Rod but haven't received a response yet. I described our issue to him but didn't come right out and ask for a free replacement just a resolution. Keeping my fingers crossed. The issue happened again this past weekend and is becoming a regular occurence now.
