Grey Dump Valve help
My 2009 Wildcat 27RL developed a problem with the front dump valve for grey water. I have cut access hole removed valve and found the problem a chip of what looks to be plastic slag from the Black tank wedged in the valve and binding up the seals. I removed the piece of plastic and when I re-assemble the valve and pipe I cannot get the seals to stay seated when I assemble the valve. Any suggestions as to repairing this? I have tried assembly at least 5 times and still a seep or leak a binding if the seal pops out and shifts to far during assembly. Hope someone has a hint or tip to keep the seals in position during reassembly.
Thanks

Re: Grey Dump Valve help
DDown, wish I could help you out on this one, I have never taken the gate valve apart like it sounds like you have done. I guess short of buying a new valve and replacing it is all I could suggest.
Hopefully someone will chime in, and have first hand expierence on what your'e up against....

Re: Grey Dump Valve help
I've never looked at the remote valves before. If they're like the manual valves, I had the valve closed, added the seals, than mounted it in place. At least that's how I remember doing it. Also your seals could be out of round and not staying put. I know rubber O-rings can get out of shape and make them useless. They either shrink or expand and no longer fit where they should. I'd buy new seals while you have it apart and see if that helps. Seals aren't much at all.

Re: Grey Dump Valve help
The seals are in and not leaking
They must put the whole thing together from the tank side and cement the PVC fittings as they go out. Talk about a tight fit it took at least 7 attempts, secret was to get seal and valve body attached to 1 1/2 in pipe and then hold that together while positioning tank side fitting into valve assembly. Working great no binding, leaking or seeping. Time to seal up the belly of the Beast and head to Texas on the 11th of May. Thanks to all for the help.
