Looking for someplace to wash my wildcat, along Route 80

Post by love4God on 4/21/2011, 3:26 am

Driving from PA to Elkhart on route 80. I'm looking for someplace to pull over and wash my RV. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've never used a truck wash before, how does that work, just like a normal automated car wash?

A lot of the Truck washes are hand detailed. They have a crew that comes out and washes your truck. I've never taken a camper in one, but I'm sure they'd wash it. Most smaller car washes are not going to have enough room for you to get in and out. So a truck stop or similar would be your best bet. Unless you spot a charity drive thats doing a car wash to raise money in a big store parking lot.

welcome love4God

I second the truck stop. Many of the larger ones along I-80 will have pull-thru washes.

BTW, love your handle. clapper

welcome to the forum. There is a large truck stop at the intersection of RT. 38 and 80, town called Emlenton. You can see the truck stop from 80. I would imagine they have the wash facilities.
