Hey TC...Where did you get the drawers from? Or did you make them.
DW is bugging me to death about these.

Re: pantry cabnet
My DW loves them but we can not use them. Out pantry has the same width of doors but our pantry is about 6 inches wider than the doors on one side.

Re: pantry cabnet
Hey TC did the DW noticed that the top cabnet door is now upside down? I made the door change and showing it off to the DW and she said it looks real good but know the cabnet door is opposit of the others. I said you can't see all of them at the same time so it looks fine. (I think I won this one)

I ordered the drawers and glides from http://www.rockler.com/. The drawer pieces can be custom made to size. I had them made out of ash and I glued the pieces together and stained them when they arrived.
Both pantry doors were flipped and hinged on the fridge side. The reason for doing this was to allow the doors to swing completely open so the drawers could be fully extended. Without this mod, the drawers would only partially slide out due to the doors hitting the slide woodwork.

Re: pantry cabnet
Those pantry cubbies are deep and dark otherwise.
Anybody with that type of pantry should be able to utilize this mod. In fact, you don't have to put the doors on upside down in the rear kitchens, if your willing to take the hinges off and place them on the other side. I was just lazy.

Re: pantry cabnet
We have plastic baskets in our pantry..... 2 baskets on each shelf. Sometimes I can reach into the back basket and get what I'm looking for. Most times, I remove the front basket and pull out the back basket. A nuisance, but I don't have to do it every day, so not so bad. Our pantry is about 4-5 inches bigger on each side than the width of the doors. We store stuff that comes in boxes (StoveTop stuffing, mac & cheese, etc) along the sides. We have long refrigerator bars extending from back to front, to keep the stuff from sliding in the way of the baskets. BUT the sliding drawers look great and would hold more than the two baskets... and I could still utilize the space along each side as I do now. I think Scruffy might have another project to work on.

Just plain old wood putty. Put it on nice and neat so there's no sanding; let it dry. Then take a Q-tip and dip into stain; dab off the excess and apply stain to puttied areas. Once it's dry, you should be good to go. I found out that golden oak stain matches up really close to the factory finish.
