BLACK WATER TANK LEVELS
Hello all, we picked up a used 28 rks last year toward the end of the season took it out a few times and things where great lot more room than the tt. In the tt tank gauges never woorked properly knew I could go at least 4-5 days no worries 6-7 on black tank but if I really wanted to look to see the level of the tank I could
. Now My question is on the cat, gauages don't work either, I get that, but the toilet does not sit on top of the tank a pipe there is a pipe connection on a angle. Now is the problem. Can't see the tank
For one I always add more water before dumping for the rush affect so now if I do that cant tell if the tank is near full also is the tank really sealed that if it fill to the bottom of the toilet it won't leak
. Does anyone have any suggestions other than just winging it? Once I get to know the unit this is a no brainer, but a miscalculation right now is bad.

The toilet flush valve should seal the black tank from the toilet. There is a vent pipe that vents the black tank through the roof. The tank should not leak even if filled up the the toilet.

I agree. Now and than I'll fill my black tank up to toilet to get a good dump.

Re: BLACK WATER TANK LEVELS
Our possessed wicked kitty has a BT gauge that works as it pleases. It is a surprise to see how full that tank is each time U read the level. I can go from empty to 2/3 on one flush.
If I am dry camping I can usually get 7 days since we only use the potty at night or in an emergency.(2 people) We can usually get 4 to 5 days at an RV park. The black tank should fill up all the way to the toilet without leaks. So we just watch the water level in the pipe below the toilet. Earl thank you for the reminder I do need to fill mine for seal check.

I like the old gauge when they read 1/4, 1/2 , 3/4 and full. Guess thing change. I think most problems with the gauge would be fixed if they went to a capacitive type sensor instead of the ones that go through the tank. Maybe camping world sell the capacitive sensors. Might be a good fix..
