Low Point Drains

Post by Roadrash on 3/14/2011, 1:17 am

Do the low point drains caps use standard pipe threads?? I would like to install valves so I don't have to hunt where I stored (lost) the caps when I drained my Cat. Laughing
Thanks
Greg

My low point drains came with with valves. Are yours different?

Also, my pipes are PEX, the valves use compression nuts.

I have the caps as well and have thought about adding valves. I'd say they are pipe but I've never checked them.

The low point drains are PEX. The caps were a compression type. I guess that I'll have to go to Lowes.

I have replaced my drain caps with PVC ball valves. Worked fine

FYI, PEX now has different fittings they are push on they are not compression, they work great for plumbing I am not sure how they will hold up to the RV side of things

If you go to this post you will see what the fittings look like http://www.wildcatcamperforum.com/t3838-factory-black-tank-flush-upgade-mod
