Any good Under Cabinet Coffee Makers?
In an effort to conserve precious countertop space and utilize the undercabinet plug, does anyone have a Spacemaker style coffee maker to recommend? It seems the ones they make now get poor reviews. The smaller the better. I'm the only one who drinks it.

We have the a Black & Decker Space Maker (about 4-years old now), it works just fine. We got the thermal carafe type, kinda like this one:

It works just fine for us.
The new new one gets 3.5 stars out of 5 on Amazon.

If you're the only one who drinks the Java, you might consider a Keurig one cup. They are small and advertised as dorm sized. We have the big resevoir sized Keurig and use it all the time. Tea, coffee, hot cocoa, it makes it all.
They are not an under cabinet style, but the one-cup does not have a resevoir and is small enought to be tucked away in a cabinet when not in use.

In my Motor home I had a Mr Coffee, and it worked really well. I don't know if they are still available, it had a built in timer programmer which made it ideal for our use.

Another thought, seeing you only what coffee for one have you thought of a Cafetiere. Perfect for the one cup of coffee and it takes up the space of a good sized coffee mug.

I realize this does not answer your question, but I still use an old style percolator. One advantage is it can also be used on the camp stove outside if I choose.

We don't have an under-counter coffeemaker. Our countertop coffeemaker fits right between the faucet and the trash hole. It fits nicely (along with coffee, filters, etc) in the cabinet directly above our fridge.
Scruffy drinks a lot of coffee, I drink about one cup a day.

Thanks for the comments.
I'm really leaning toward the B&D spacemaker but the poor reviews are holding me back. One of my big concerns is whether or not too much steam will be trapped at the bottom side of the overhead cabinets.
Once things thaw out up here I think I'll put one in.

Wouldn't you know, a little more searching and I found this one in the above link at pplmotorhomes. I can not find any reviews for it however.

Well, we have the under cabinet coffee maker. Like I said earlier, it's a SpaceMaker, and we've had zero problems after four years of use. As for steam under the cabinets; I've never noticed condensation and we dry camp and let it get down to 50 in the trailer at night, so every surface in the trailer is good and cold.

Treekiller,
Here's the unit that I had in mind.

As I said, it makes one cup of coffee using the Keurig K-cup system. You wouldn't believe the various flavors, teas and hot cocoas that they have. It makes an 8-ou. cup of coffee.

I too am looking. I found one on RVUSA.com that looks like the old Mr. Coffee under cabinet ones. The Brand is Contoure. It is around $147.00.
Not sure the quality but does have the thermo carafe that we too would like.

Bill - I noticed dual pane windows. I do not see that as an option on West Coast models. Are these from FR as a special? How about the weight?

Dan Forest River had that as an option when we orderd. It's my understanding that they still offer it as an option. As far as weight, I have know idea what it added to the Cat...But they do seem to work very well...

Bill - Nice to here they work well. Thank you for the reply. Regardless of weight trailers need all the help they can get with insulation. Now time to order and try the coffee maker you use.
