CAT Scale
Just to satisfy my curiosity I took my F250 to the local truck scale. Full tank of fuel, slider hitch in the bed, and me in the cab, total was 8160 lbs. Has anyone else weighed their truck? BTW, it cost me $9.50 to weigh it.

Re: CAT Scale
There are a free weigh scales in pull-outs on the main roads in Alberta. I've weighed my truck many times. It is 7850 lbs with fuel tank full, slider hitch in the bed and me in the cab.

Re: CAT Scale
Richard mine was exactly the same as yours, only thing different was I had DW in the truck.
Steering axle 4940
drive axle 3220
Also weighed with cat hooked and loaded for long trip
steering axle 5020 lbs
drive axle 5660 lbs
trailer 8420 lbs
Total 19,100 lbs
If you do the math the hitch weight is 2520 Lbs. We do not load heavy on the front, but its a lot more then the 1770 lbs forest river indicates in the brochure. Glad I have air bags !!! I also have my truck registered as a combination and can be up to 23,000 lbs with truck and trailer.

Weighed mine "free" at a grain elevator in Ramona, SD. Four people and a half tank fuel, just a smidge over 7000 lbs. Went to 18,000 with one passenger and the CAT.

Re: CAT Scale
I weighed mine with a full tank(35Gal), full Aux tank(50Gal)and me, and the Pullrite 20.5K super hitch.
Front axle = 5040
Rear axle = 3940
when I weighed both axles on the same scale, the truck weighed 9000#. Somewhere I gained 20 pounds.

Re: CAT Scale
Oldelmer the scales probably go up in 20lb increments. The wind can blow and make it go up a notch. Or It could have been that king size chocolate bar telling on ya

Re: CAT Scale
My chevy comes in around 7500 on a good day.
I am hoping to weigh the whole outfit when I go away in 2 weeks time. there is a weighbridge on my journey home that weighs each axle individually.

Then you add a generator to the mix and the hitch weight climbs. Had to change my overloads on my 2 wd sw Ford.

Small world, I hunt just north of the town. Last time I weighed my truck it was 8100 with a full tank of gas and me in it. No hitch at the time.

Without Cat (just unhooked and reweighed)

Found my scale ticket, I was off. Truck was 6940, not 7500ish. No people in the truck and full tank.
