Looking for CG in Virgina Beach
Anyone experienced with staying at Virginia Beach? Any advice would be good. Going up there in July for a week and would like to stay next to the beach.

Go with the Holiday Travel Park in VA Beach: http://www.campingvb.com/
The Supersites are great but a bit more pricey. I am not aware of any campgrounds that are next to the beach, but the Holiday Travel Park has dedicated parking near the beach itself.

We did a week at First Landing. Campground was ok for a state run facility but it was right on the beach and WELL worth it! The kids loved it!

Thanks for the information. We will look both of them up and probably flip a coin. It'll probably come down to the kids.

We stay at the Outdoor Resorts in Sandbridge Beach. It's south of the main VB boardwalk area, but a great location if you are looking to walk to the beach. We have been going every year for the last 3 years and have reservations again for this summer. We don't mind driving a bit to get to the VB attractions - walking to the beach each day makes up for it.

Re: Looking for CG in Virgina Beach
We just got back from First Landing it was very nice for a state park, nice beach, great sunsets and sunrises, shower facilities were nice. Only draw back was the military training at the east end at Fort Story( which was only one of 4 days). We drove by the Holiday camp ground it's across from a KOA those would be real close to the jets that seem to fly in and out alot. We also drove out to Sandbridge Beach and past the Outdoor Resort that might be a little more peaceful and the beach was just as nice as Virginia Beach with out the cement.
First Landing has smaller waves being it's on the bay compared to Sandbridge Beach.

Here are some photos in regard to jets at Holiday Travel Park (my sons really liked it, though):

I have stayed at both The KOA and Holiday Travel Park. Both are very nice campgrounds. Have to drive to get to the beach.
