Can you roll the awning in quickly in case of wind/storm? Will the awning wrap around the tube or does it need removing?
I'm thinking that it might work ok if you just unplug the extension.

If we all got those lights, put them on red, and camped together, would we qualify as a "red light district"?

Sorry for the delay . . . . .
I bought them on ebay. The title of the auction was "5M 5050 RGB WATERPROOF 300 LED Light Strip + IR Remote". You can also purchase them directly from the same seller at www.novibo.com
@Kim . . . yes I can roll the awning up quickly. The lights are cased in a silicone weather proofing material. I attached them to the underside of the awning with velcro, but they are slim enough to roll up with the awning. That way I can take them down also if I need to.
Eventually I am going to wire them directly into the 12V trailer system as they are a 12V light system. But for now I use a power adapter similar to a laptop cord/adapter to power them from the side trailer outlet.
@Portagie1968 . . . . Modesto area. I am about an hour north of San Francisco.

10-36,
Those lights are awesome! I think they would work well when we use our sun shade in the awning track. Could you please post a photo of how you have them attached to the awning? They'd make a big hit at Disney's Fort Wilderness.

@Tater . . . .
I have installed the lights so they do not impede or interfere with the awning track at all. When the weather clears up, I'll take some photos and post them. It's pouring here right now and really windy.

Re: My new remote controlled 12V LED awning lights . . . . yes they flash too
Sorry to copy you, but I got me some too. I have wired them into the 12V system. I have an electric awning so I ran the wire down the wiring that is already feeding the awning and followed it thur to the brakers. Mine came with 3M tape backing already on them, so just taped them to the awning. I just have to unplug the power at the lights before rolling the awning up. They are like a ribbon of lights so they fold up in the awning real nice and neat. I ordered mine from www.dreaminthebox.com

P.S. While I am here and baring my soul I am hoping that the individuals that I have sent emails to and have not relied would do so in the near future.

I've got the LED lights on sale here on the forum now.
They work great, very good quality.
I have a limited quantity on hand and will see how they do before I order another shipment.
You'll see how to order them on the home page.
Heres some pic's and a video.
