Does your landing gear do this?

Post by NorCalCat on 2/10/2011, 12:53 am

We just picked up our 2006 WC 2 weeks ago. I thought that the hydraulics to the landing gear might be bleeding off, but figured out that the gear retract whenever the slide is pulled in. The gear also extend whenever the slide is pushed out. I'm thinking that the landing gear should be independent of the slide. Incidentally, I can operate the landing gear via the switch(s) on the front of the WC.

There is probably an isolator valve that is leaking.

My landing gear does not move when using the slide controls.

You should only be able to move the landing gear from the control on the front, under the overhang.

We had them remove ours. Nobody at the factory or Lippert could fix it. Was a pain. Never have them again.

My un-educated guess was that it was a problem with an in line check valve, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't an unwanted feature of WC's.

We had a 2006 Wildcat 29 RLBS for 5 years with HYD lift and slides and never had a problem with the HYD's. I think you are on the right track checking for an in-line check valve. Jim

Dealership had turned the adjustment knob on the valve the wrong way. All better now!

That would cause the 2 different circuits to combine. They should know better. Wonder why they were turning it? It's only for manual operation. Hard to say what they were doing.
