New Tires

New Tires
We have quite a few long distance trips planned this Spring and Summer, and are worried about the tires on our trailer.
They are the ones that came with it when we purchased it last January!
I realize they are only a year old but we would feel much safer and confident with new ones. Just wondering what type of tires others have used and what people recommend.
Thanks

Re: New Tires
We still have the origional tires that came with the WC. Have not had any problems. They are the D range tires and I am very strict about maintaining the tire pressures at the maximum stated on the side wall - 65 psi. Check the pressure before every trip. Also, stop at a scale and make sure you are not exceeding the GAWR for the axles or the tire capacity as stated on the sidewalls.

Re: New Tires
I'm still running stock Duro's also.
This type, the radial with the solid center rib, has been a good tire so far. This is the same tire that Carriage is putting on the Cameos...

Re: New Tires
I still have the duro's on mime these are now 4 years old, and showing no signs of wear. But I do check them every time I go out with the Cat. I only travel at 55 mph so this might also help with tyre life.

Re: New Tires
Sean,
Also keep an eye on the inside of the tires too, mine looked great on the outside, but when I crawled under the camper, I had cracks in the sidewalls on the inside.

At a year old, you should not have any troubles.
