LOL, it always has to be "somewhere"!
Definitely looks like a hike for you, over 10 hours for me - but I think we are going to give it a shot. We will make final decision at the end of January...

Sounds like a good idea. We won't know until the first week in March whether we could make it.

Bob,
Would love to come, but we won't be in Branson till 2012. Great idea though.

I just wanted to remind everyone of the F.R.O.G. rally in Branson. Check your calendar. I think my DW and I are the only Wildcat owners signed up to attend right now.

Richard, Macon Ga has a cherry tree festival every spring with all kinds of events going on around a small carnival rides thing in the park. Read the activities headline yesterday and low and behold you'll never guess what one of the rides will be ......

Re: 1st Forest River Owners Group Rally 2011 Branson MO
My wife and I attended the FROG Rally (well the first day anyway) and they had 15 rigs there I believe. We arrived the night before the opening meeting and unfortunately needed to depart the next day as I had training I was scheduled for at one of the Forest River Divisions.
Concertone bought the beer, wine and snacks for the meeting - which was really a social event for folks to meet each other.
We all had a great time and from the looks of the posts on the forestriverforums.com site the good time continued for the event.
I know I am looking forward to the next event!

Maybe we'll be able to attend the next one. Just too many things going on this spring for this one.

Re: 1st Forest River Owners Group Rally 2011 Branson MO
We just returned home from the Forest River Owners Group (FROG) rally in Branson. We had a great time and met some great people. Bob Fields, from Concertone and a really great guy to talk to, provided us with plenty of adult refreshments and snacks at the initial get together. The rally organizer, John, was able to obtain free hats from Forest River and RV Wholesalers and also free T-shirts from RV Wholesalers.
It was a shame Bob Fields had to leave early because the night after he left, his leftover wine was hit hard, and a couple of the ladies needed help walking back to their RV’s. I’m sure Bob would have gotten a kick out of that. Bob also missed out on the pot luck dinner the last night of the rally. WOW, the food was outstanding. There were some really great cooks among our ranks.
On Monday evening, our group attended Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. My poor wife (Jebby) got soaked to the bone slogging around in the rain going from RV to RV organizing that event. The Dixie Stampede is a dinner show and during the performance we were served a vegetable soup with a cheese biscuit for an appetizer, the entrée was a whole chicken and a slice of pork along with half a baked potato and corn on the cob. The dessert was an apple turnover. The food was absolutely delicious and messy. You eat everything with your fingers, they don’t offer tableware at all.
We had some real long distance travelers among our ranks. One couple attending the rally came all the way from Portugal. After arriving in America, they bought a new Dodge truck and then drove to RV Wholesalers and purchased a new Rockwood fifth wheel and from there they drove to Branson. We also had two Forest River Owners from Ontario Canada. I was impressed so many drove so far for just a three day rally. My wife and I really had a great time and plan to attend any future FROG rallies.
Here’s a photo of our group wearing our RVW hats and T’s. Because of the rainy weather we had the first day, a few of the folks were delayed and didn’t make it in time to be included in the photo.

Re: 1st Forest River Owners Group Rally 2011 Branson MO
The "they" is Forest River RV Owners just like all here and the efforts of one couple put it all together.
As far as I know a FROG Rally could be held multiple times per year in different locations around the country. I believe someone even started a "tadpole" rally in OH this July (I will check and repost here).
Some give yourselves 3-6months and start a rally - I'll but the beverages for the opening meet and greet!

It sounds like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, DW had knee surgery and I was in Selma, AL for work. We hope to be able to attend another Rally in the future.
