Delayed Reviews
As I was reading the posts here I realized that I had not posted comments about the two PA CGs we stayed at in September.
First Gettysburg Battlefield KOA:
A very nice CG; well kept and maintained, very friendly staff and owners. The owners were originally from NH so we had something in common and to talk about. Everything was clean, neat and in order. This is an older CG so the sites are a little tight, but adequate. Looked like there were lots of activities in season for the kids (well equipped playground, pool and gameroom). All in all it gets an a 9 out of 10 overall. Only drawback that we saw was that it was tricky to find. Good signs for direction, but it is out in the woods. We would definitely stay here again.
Second Millbridge Village CG:
I'd give this a solid 5 out of 10. Here's why! The site that we were parked on was a grass and gravel pull-through. Problem was that the water and electric were on the wrong side of the Cat. Luckily I had my 30A extension cord with me and it just reached the 30A receptical which was nailed to a large tree, 5' off the ground. The water tap had to be fixed before we could use it. While the sewer hook-up was on the left side of the Cat it was one of those that was about a foot off the ground and made it very difficult to dump. Never did get to see the bathrooms or laundry room so I can't comment on them. We asked to be moved, but were told that all the other sites were in use for the week-end. BTW, this was our last choice as the other CGs within a reasonable distance of Strasburg were all full for the week-end. We would definitely not (repeat, not) stay at this CG again.

Thanks for the reviews Schrowang. We stay at KOA's on a regular basis when traveling. Generally speaking they are usually clean and well maintained and no unpleasant surprises. The only rub I have with most KOA's is they have sites that are too close together.

I agree. Most KOA's were built in an era when size wasn't a problem. RV's in the 70's and 80's, when most of them were built, didn't have slides and a 32' 5er was a rarity. My 89' Sunline 5er was only 7' wide.
Oh, for the good old days.
