Hi From West Texas

Post by danewton on 12/7/2010, 6:02 pm

Greetings to forum members! I'm excited that this weekend I will travel to Ft. Worth to pick up my first RV ever, a 2008 FR Wildcat 32QBBS. I also just purchased a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD crew cab short bed diesel to pull it (68,000 miles). The truck came with a 18K Superglide hitch installed. I'm looking forward to learning all I can, and I hope this forum will help. I have equipment learning overload right now!!

welcome ,,,,,

Read , read , read, and read some more. Theres someone here at all hours especially since we have a wide time zone, from New zealand to UK , and east coast to the west coast and parts of canada .
Be sure to check it out really good. Don't forget to chock your wheels. Be Safe and have fun.
Theres some links on here with a list of things to look for when your checking it out. Just don't panic when something does go wrong, somebody on here can usually tell you how to fix it or what to do.

Welcome danewton from East Texas. I'm just north of Houston a piece. Hope everything goes well with the purchase and first tow. I would highly recommend you find a campground close to Ft. Worth where you are picking up the new digs just to try everything out. That way if you find something serious, you won't be too far away from the source for help.

welcome from a couple from the D/FW area - who are keeping warm inside our Cat in cold cold Walt Disney World. We're hoping it warms up before we get here again around the end of January.

Thanks for the welcome. We are planning to take our kids and grandkids to Disney World next June (flying, not rv'ing). I'll bet it will warm up by then!

It will be HOT in June. You'll have fun with the kids/grandkids. Nothing like seeing WDW through young eyes.
