That's a problem I've never seen mentioned on any forums. Sorry I can't be of help.

Furnaces just seem to be noisy for some reason. But, perhaps the wind was blowing the right way and causing the exhaust to make that sound.

At least the Wildcat furnace, Dometic, will shut off when it runs out of propane. Our other 5'r has another, older brand, of furnace that doesn't. It just keeps pumping cold air and attempting to light. I'd love a solution to that.

Mine is always noisy ~ do you mean it made more of a racket than it normally does?

Mine always sound like I have a jet propelled heater. Perhaps I should investigate more, but even my water heater is noisy and that hasn't got a fan.

My furnace is loud too. It's noisy both inside and outside. I'm sure there are better heaters out there For an RV at this price point this is the best you get.

In my old MH I had a Suburban heater and that was noisy. I have also been parked next to top end MH and they seem to have the same problem.

Here is a short video clip I sent to Forest River after I had sent my camper back to the factory for leaking slide repairs. I ask them to look at this noise but they said there was nothing wrong with my heater. Just to clarify thats why I added the voice over the video to clarify for our experts at FR. After I sent the video clip to them they changed there tune. I turned the gas off before they picked up my camper so during the test the burner never came on. The noise only happed while the burner was lit. The local dealer here fix the problem which turned out to be a piece of the aluminum duct tape dropping down onto the fan. Not sure I believe it but that was there story and it was fixed so I didn't ask any questions.

Wow, I bet they did change their tune. I hate it when people don't listen to you and think you are over reacting. That did sound a bit like a playing card in a bicycle spoke. Laughing

I'd like to add that the furnace is so loud that I took the audio from out of the TV and routed it into the AUX on the stereo. OK, it does make the TV sound better too. Wink

I had some mud daubers build a nest in just the right place inside the furnace. It sounded like a jet engine. Woke up the entire campground too!! Yea, people were giving me dirty looks the next day. I promised everybody I would run the heater like crazy from 9-10 and then turn it off till 8am. Yea, it was cold about 4 am. =P

Dealer had to pull the heater and knock out their nests. Couple hundreds bucks later, problem solved. And yes, I did buy on some dauber covers after that.
