diesel heating for the Cat

Post by Sean on 11/27/2010, 11:03 pm

Has any one thought about diesel heating there Cat. I have been looking at ways to keep her indoors happy (chilly mortal). And as I have been installing diesel heating systems in welfare cabins, I thought this could work in a Cat. Diesel usage is about 1 pint per hour and battery usage is under 1 amp per hour (depending on model). this could actually be a good alternative to gas when there is no shore power available. One draw back is the cost, these systems are quite pricey

Never considered that, but Scottz and his Catalytic heater seem like a good idea with a regular propane system. Any thing diesel seems to come at a high initial cost.
