Good News From Asheville
For the past three seasons Asheville East KOA has endured a very noisy and unfriendly neighbor. It was a biker bar that abutted the western end of the campground property. Unfortunately this was the western end of "A" section where many of the RV sites are. If you have read any of the reviews for Asheville East on the review sites, you'll find this fact noted in most of them.
I just received the news from the unofficial newsletter. THE BAR IS GONE!
The building is now for rent. Maybe next season will be a little quieter.
By the way, if you do read the reviews, don't believe the ones that talk about trains coming through all night long. We spent three seasons there and occasionally had two trains in one night, but mostly only one during the week-ends.
Congrats to the "A" Team for outlasting the bar.

Just so all y'all understand ...... I only posted this for information's sake. Many, many campers complained about the biker bar at the end of "A" section in the CG. This was not a promotional, since we no longer work there.
