Rv Storm Door

Post by Rich5117 on 11/19/2010, 3:00 am

Have been looking at mods regarding storm doors and came across the RV Door Buddy http://rvdoorbuddy.com has anyone had any experience with this product. If you done this yourself how have you installed the Plexiglas or Lexan?

Rich,
When I see a mod that I like, either here or on another forum, I copy and paste the pictures in a file in my computer.

Here is a series of pictures that show how to do this yourself. We haven't tried this yet, but it looks easy.

I wish I could give credit to the person who posted these, or at least tell where I found them.

I am going to have a go at this mod, I have some plexiglass left so it should be straight forward , and also help keep heat in the Cat

Rich, Click on the Gallery above. I posted my mod on my storm door with Lexan panels. A lot of owners replace the screen all to gether and have the Lexan installed. But, I wanted a way to keep the A/C on with the door open, or take them off when dry camping. It was really easy. Lexan is more durable and scratches less than plexiglass. When you use the velcro, make sure the fuzzy side is applied to the door, and the gripper side is on the Lexan. If not, it will grab all kinds of clothing when someone goes out or in. It's favorite clothing is sweaters and fleece. Let me know if I can be of any help. If I was retired, I think that I would start making these for screen doors. Out of all of our mods, this is our favorite.
