5er hire in Canada
A friend of mine is looking to hire a 5th wheel in Canada next year and would like to know of any companies that do this type of hire.

Re: 5er hire in Canada
He would probably do better with the Class C motor home rentals.

Theres a link to 5th wheel rentals, but he'd have to rent a truck also to pull it.
I think the class c motor home would be the cheapest way to go. Lot less headache I would think, with backing and turning and trying not to scratch it up.

Re: 5er hire in Canada
This location is in Langley (a suburb of Vancouver) which is probably 45 minute drive from Vancouver airport. Not a bad location to begin a vacation in Western Canada which could take in the west coast and through the Okanagan Valley to the Rockies and into Calgary/Edmonton. But I agree with others that a motorhome may be easier on a newbie to RV'ing not to mention that those of us that live in the colonies drive on the wrong side of the road!

My friend wants a 5er with truck, because he's jealous of mine and wants to have ago.

Slim chance of that happening. I'm not even sure that they rent 5th wheels here in the US. All I've ever seen are either Class C's or Class A's in motorized, or pop-ups and standard TTs in pull behinds. Usually ALL cost and arm and leg to rent.
My assumption on 5th wheels is the varying weights and truck requirements makes their rentals prohibitive.

Re: 5er hire in Canada
The 5ths here for rent are Sundances pulled by Dodge Ram Quad Cabs and come in 4 sizes...24', 26', 28' and 31'.
Here is a direct link to all the vehicles they rent including motorhomes, TT's and 5th's.

I bet renting a 5th wheel and the matching tow truck is gotta be salty!! I know just renting a basic entry level travel trailer is expensive.
