Wildcat Sterling

Post by azandy700 on 11/9/2010, 2:26 pm

First topic message reminder :

Just saw this little pic about the new Wildcat Sterling. Didn't have much info. Is this new? Have any of you seen this? Maybe I'm just out of touch but I haven't seen this before. Says it is a high end model Cat.
RV Wholesalers online had sent the email. Just wondering where I can get info.

I would not want to have the extra truck length to manuever. One of these could be used when needed instead.

But should we really need Slide out boot covers, they should be made to be water tight in the first place.

I posted some new photos of Sterling units to the Facebook page. I believe there's some new ones up on the Forest River site as well. We'll be showing a new one at Louisville -- I'll be sure to post some links (for those who are interested) when I have the new stuff online.

You read and you learn, I am glad I did not already order the 32RL because when I order one soon I want to add some more things to it. I started out looking for a camper 30ft but it seems everyone has quit making that size. I wanted a bedroom slide and I am 6ft 4in tall and I had to have a bedroom that I could walk in. What I wanted on the slides was couch and tables, no sink, stove. I also wanted big holding tanks, dual pane windows,level-up I wanted to get to the bedroom with the slide in but I can!t on the 32RL but I thought about it, well I like everything else on the 32RL. I am going to Yellowstone in June and I will stop a Wal-mart or two along the way, just have to park where I can get that bedroom slide out. On the one we have now we have not stayed at a Wal-mart since we had it, about 3 years

I asked about the slide out boot covers and was told by the factory rep that wildcat had quit the slide out boots covers as they were to hard to put on at the factory. I saw one on a site and did not like there look.

Wildcat Chris,, I am going to purchase a 32RL Sterling on Monday, from Tom Johnson camping. The options will be, garden windows,level-up,Vizo 3D HDTV,LED lights inside, bedroom fireplace, dual pane windows. Can you think of anything else I can put on trailer? DW said this was going to be last one, so I was wondering if I missed anything or if Wildcat had come up up with any more options

The only other item that remains very popular on that floor plan would be La-Z-Boy recliners...

Our replacement to the 29RLBS floor plan (rear living room with bedroom slide) is the Wildcat 302RL or 30RL in the Sterling Edition. We do not have any plans to reintroduce the 29RLBS at this time. The 272RLX is the eXtraLite version of the same concept (rear living room with wardrobe slide).

When you do we will think about a new WC, until then we will stick with the best for us, a 29RLBS.

Well the 32RL is nice and we could not wait, it is going to get here about the middle of March. I don!t have a week trip planned until the last week of April. The 29RLBS is nice too and we just waited to long to get one, I guess I could have still found one but I wanted dual pane windows. When we travel some sites will be too short for us but most of the time the places we go will be fine. I ordered the 32RL this morning, I think I got a good deal, I just did not want to travel to far to get one.

Even though the 272rlx doesn't have all the nice features and storage that we have in the 29rlbs, I'm impressed with the floorplan and photos that I've seen. I have to see it in person, open cabinets, step inside the bathroom, etc. Its longer than the 29rlbs, which is a concern for us. I really have to see the 272rlx to make a fair comparison.
