Does any one use a dehumidifier to cut down on condensation in there Cat, mainly after a trip to reduce the risk of any damp problems

Sean, We use a dehumidifier. We keep the cat in our garage which is insulated but not heated. Our last fiver would get musty smelling so when we got the cat we decided to try a dehumidifier. It really does the job. I am surprised at how much moisture it pulls out of the air. I usually dump about a quart a week. More in spring and fall when there are big temperature swings. I shut it off when temperatures go below freezing so the unit doesn't freeze up and get damaged.

We use an Eva-Dry 2200. Cost about $ 80.00.

What size and brand are you using? Down here with the high humidity and big temp swings the walls will start sweating pretty bad when winter time camping.

It's Eva-Dry 2200. It's good for 2,200 cubic feet. I purchased from www.rvupgradestore.com. It's a nice compact size. It measures 8 1/2" w x 6 3/4" d x 14" h.
