Last Trip of 2010
I don't think I've shared any pics of our private camp.
We purchased this property about 4 years ago with one reason in mind.... Its darn near the center of some excellent ATV, Dirt Bike and Jeepin'!
It borders a popular riding area that we have been riding for several decades. Its only about 2.5 acres but perfect for what we wanted. It was/is a heavily wooded area.
We downed about 50 trees to make room for our campers but we left hundreds more for shade and privacy.
I was first to arrive last Saturday:

Had to make a second run after our toys:

After setting up camp:

Friends and Family arrive:

We had near perfect weather for the week. Highs in the 60's with lows in the upper 30's except one cool night at 25. We rode so many miles of trail I can't hardly walk today... For the riders among us - Monkey Butt to the max!
Thats probably it for us this year. We'll be winterizing this coming week. Once it starts raining here in November; It seems it never stops until April.

Dropping 50 trees is a lot of work. It looks like you did some landscaping as well. The place looks great! If I were into bikes or ATV's I'd be begging you to let me camp with you.

Re: Last Trip of 2010
Thanks guys. We also looked around for several years wanting to buy a small piece of land in the area. Several came up for sale but never really was what or where we were after. When this parcel came up we jumped on it!
We have done lots of work to get it where it is. The first two years seemes like all we did was work while there. We now have it where we just pull in, set up and enjoy.
Sean - The tanks are for water. There is no water, city supplied or well water in the area. We have two 275 gallon tanks. One is used to haul water and gravity feed from the back of the truck to the other tank. We have a small electric pump to fill the campers as needed.
The local fire department is only about 20 minutes away. They have a coin operated water nozzle for the surrounding comunity to use. Its a large pump with 4" hose that will fill the tank in about 30 seconds. It cost us one dollar to fill the tank.

All I can say is
That's an awesome place and that's an investment you will reap the rewards from for a long time. Just wondering, did you tow the bikes behind the Cat?

Thanks.
No I didn't tow behind the Cat this time. The roads getting there are very narrow and curvey. (Its also illegal in our state but I did it earlier this year with no problems). Its just a little over an hour from my home. I have a good friend who lives right on the way to our camp. He's only about 15 minutes from camp. He lets us park the trailer and toys at his house a day or two or week before we head out to camp. We also leave them their as needed when we leave. He rides and camps with us often so every thing works out good for everyone.
