Nasty Water

Nasty Water
When we winterized Mobile Mansion II this year I was shocked to see the condition of our water filter. It was nasty. When we departed for our trip to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone on Aug 8th I installed a new filter in the housing. Normally a water filter will last us for a full season so after installing this one I didn’t bother checking it again. I guess I should have.
I don’t know for sure, but I’d bet we encountered some bad water when we stayed at Flagg Ranch in Wyoming. The campground at Flagg Ranch was experiencing low water pressure. They also had some major sewer problems while we were there too.
We spent 18 days in the Wildcat on that trip and then another 15 days in it on various local camping trips. So in 32 days the filter went from bright white to nasty brown.

Regardless of where we encountered the nasty water, in the future I’ll be checking the condition of the filter more often.

Re: Nasty Water
That is exactly what mine looked like when our stick house water heater went out and we had to use the camper for a couple of months (yeah...I kinda got lazy!). I was pretty surprised it looked like that. I'm sure glad we drink filtered water!

On the 2010 31TS there move the filter back by the pump behind the panel. I have to make point to unload the storage to get to it. Which I need to check more than do.
