Replacing the Concertone

Has anyone done a one for one replacement of the Concertone unit with other than a Concertone unit?

The remote no longer works on the Concertone, even after buying a new one from Concertone. Problem has to be in the unit itself and I'm getting tired of fooling around with it.

So are there any replacement AM/FM/Weather/CD/DVD surround sound units out there? I know that other manufacturers use different units in their rigs, but they look too big for the app in the Wildcat.

Did you ever do anything with this?
