Rope Lights

Post by BobnPi on 10/26/2010, 3:36 am

Where did you purchase yours? What is your favorite color? LED or Incandescent? What is the total length and if you use multiple strings, how long is each one? We have some globes we use on the awning, but I really like the idea of lining the parking pad at night. Any other suggestions?

The all blue ones look really cool around the cat.As you an see I use Red,White, and Blue around the sitting area. The DW likes to put the globes up,but I didn't like them because it was too bright. So "with her permission of course" I put a dimmer inline To tone it down a little. I think all rope lights are LED.

That does look real nice. We have just white ones that we put along the unit front to back just to give a little more. Globes on the awning that are probably too bright, and solar lights around the campsite if we are sunny enough.
I like the idea of a dimmer. Our site is usually too bright. Maybe the colored lights would help too.

I too like the idea of a dimmer for the globes. Had not thought of that. DW suggested either blue or green. I'm leaning towards blue but either would be nice I think. The Red White and Blue that you have in the picture, are they all in one string? BTW, I've seen rope lights advertised as either incandescent or LED. I can't imagine why anyone would want the incandescent, but they are offered online. Thanks for the info.

I've never seen incandescent rope lights.I'm with you on that one BobnPi,don't know if I would want those either. The rope lights I have around the front are two strands of 20'.

I bought some incan ropes because they (like me) were cheap and power draw was not an issue. Wink
