Slide out Adjustment
I notice that when my slide out is extended there is about a 1" gap between the seal and the wall at the top. The bottom is tight against the wall. How do I adjust it?

Re: Slide out Adjustment
I don't think you can. Mine does the same thing and I found that if you adjust it for that clearance, it then sits too low when its retracted. Every adj seems to be a compromise.

Re: Slide out Adjustment
Ours did that. I think it was tight at the bottom, but had a good size gap at the top... with the gap at the side getting wider from bottom to top. This was at one end of the slide only - near the back. This is when we found the Lippert manuals on-line. Scruffy found the solution and made an adjustment underneath. We noticed it in Holbrook, AZ, and it's been a couple years since we've been over that way... it's been fine ever since. It doesn't sit too low.

Re: Slide out Adjustment
Tater,
Must be something about Holbrook, that is where I noticed we had the same problem, big gap at the top.
Bob, here is the instructions on how to adjust, starting at the bottom of page 7:
http://www.eaa1358.com/Passport/Slideout/Lippert%20Slideouts/Hydraulic%20Slideout-Web.pdf
Use a white marker to mark the starting point first, that way, if what you do doesn't help, you can put it back where it was.
Its easy to do, just do a little adjusting at a time, then move the slide in and out a few times to see what happened.

Re: Slide out Adjustment
If you don't have a white marker, use White-out, chalk, or a dry sliver of soap. Anything that will leave a mark long enough to refer to if needed.
