Slide In/Slide Out
Just curious. When I put my slides in/out I check the outside (I have covers on slides) and make sure everything on the inside is put away so the slides does not smash it. I also cross my fingers and hope everything works right. Darn, I forget to open the door or window for air expansion again. Does anyone else have this problem. Do you have a sign up or a placard, anything to remind them to open a door or window?

I do not have any type of placard to remind me to open window or door. I have read somewhere that a window was blown out by closing the slide.

Never Gave it a thought about expansion. I don't think the slid out seals are that strong. OR I just been lucky. I do check for everything else.

When mines anything but full in or out, there's such gaps in places around it that there's just no way it could make any difference.

The slide switch is just inside the main door, and I automatically open the door when bringing slides in or out.

Same as Jebby, I always have the entry door open while closing the slides since it is usually the last thing I do before I leave a campsite. You can really feel the air being pushed out of the cat when the slides are closing. I have however forgotten to close the bedroom door on our 32QBBS and needless to say the slide ripped it from the frame. Luckily it was only held with brad nails and none of the wood broke. I was able to re attach the door at home.

Re: Slide In/Slide Out
When we first got the Cat, we didn't even think of pressure pushing a window in or out. Since reading about it, we make sure to have the door open. When closing the slide, I like to have the door ajar, but not open - then I watch how it opens all by itself. It doesn't take much to amuse me.

I've always done the same as Jebby, its just a natural thing that happens, opening or closing ,,,, I like to watch the bedroom slide moving.

Re: Slide In/Slide Out
We always make it a point to walk back, rear kitchen, and verify the slide will clear whatever (all the doors back there are closed) and there's nothing on the floor (like a chef's knife, etc.) Then it's up to the front of the slide and check it, I once pushed the TV remote through the gasket (the defunct original remote I'll add). Then I stand there with the door open and run the slide, making sure it clears the TV which has less than 1/2" to spare. If the clearance on the slide side is tight I'll stop and go check it before running it out completely.
