Dual Reclining Loveseat with Center Console

Post by PromisedLand2010 on 10/21/2010, 3:19 pm

We got rid of our jack-knife (extremely uncomfortable couch) and replaced it with a new Dual Reclining Loveseat with Center Console. We really like it a lot. And we were concerned with not having the sofa bed, but we have each already slept in one of the recliners, and it is way more comfortable than the old couch.

We love the center console, too. I put a pillow at the back, and our 19-month old thinks it is her seat. She has taken over both cup-holders, her sippy cup goes in one and then she puts her crackers or (dry) cereal in the other.

That looks great and I'm sure it's more comfortable than RV funiture.

That looks great! That's a cute idea for making a special seat for your daughter.

I hope you don't mind - I made your photo show in your message, instead of the url.

Dual reclining loveseats are available almost anywhere that recliners are sold. For a good deal, you might try Rooms-To-Go. We have an Unclaimed Freight store nearby where they usually have good deals on recliners and double recliners.

It was around $600. I am sure you can find cheaper ones. (We found a black faux leather with no center console for around $400.) We didn't shop around a lot, because we really needed the new couch. We found one at rooms-to-go, but it cost even more and then they wanted to charge delivery and other fees on top of that.

We live in our WC full-time, and need all the comfort we can get being in a camper all the time. We spend a lot of time outdoors, but the temperature is dropping (and it's football season).

We also do not have a booth dinette. The previous owners removed that. We added folding legs to a the dinette table, which they had left under the bed. And bought 4 folding chairs from Lowe's. Because the dinette was gone, we had the room to get the center console for the loveseat, otherwise we would have had to opt-out.

What we found was that most of the reclining loveseats all had braces underneath which made the individual recliners into loveseat. Just remove the frame outside, and then reassemble inside.

I actually got the idea from an older post on this forum. We bought almost an identical couch to another member, but a different color and with the console. I love this place. All kinds of neat mods.

Thanks, Tater. I am still trying to figure out how to host images. I did it before, but couldn't remember how yesterday.

Oh, by the way, it is an Ashley piece, but we did not buy from Ashley. We bought it from a place called 'Price Point Furniture'. Ashley also charged for delivery and other fees, plus they would not give us any warranty once they found out we would have to take the brace off to get it in the RV.

It only took about an hour to get it in the Cat, and that was with an 18 month old under our feet. She was the first to try it out, of course.

Yup, I've seen this mod before too. Probably the best of the bunch on here! We have the dinnette table as well, no booth, so this would work great!! Totally worth it for you guys since you are "roughing it" in the Cat this year!! lol! This would be a MUST have if I was expected to stay in the Cat to watch football!!! Looks great, thanks for the info!!

Is that like the theater style that you can add different seats to make a whole row for home theater ? That looks good,

I don't think so, but you can buy a matching couch and can even connect the couch and loveseat with a wedge to make it like a sectional.

Here is the link to Ashley.
