The quality work of Forest River
I was going to do the water over flow pipe fix that so many forum members are doing, but due to the man at Forest River who has not got a clue I was put off for a while. To do the fix I'll have to do a bit of wiring job as well. Have a look at the first picture and you will see how some plonker has put the water pipe through the bottom of the J section of the sofa and out of the side into the wall inlet. the cabling for the rear lights also follow the same route. This was as far as I could move the J section sofa from the side wall[img]

The second picture shows the holes when they drilled through the rear wall for the lights and did not stop until they had drilled into the sofa[img]

you can't make people care or have pride in their work no matter what you pay them. But the guys that work @ the FR plant are probably unskilled and under paid so they probably don't care. I'm sure their turnover rate is high as well.
The sad thing, you could spend 80 to 100 grand on a trailer and still have these kinds of issues.

Poor workmanship is an issue in most manufacturing plants. Having worked in a factory environment for over 20 years I can attest to that.
But what this points our is more than poor workmanship. In my opinion it also highlights very poor quality control.
We're going to have a chance to visit the WC factory in IN next spring for the tour. It should be interesting.

My 2006 Wicked Kitty was made in Oregon. Down the road a piece is Oregon State in Corvallis. My Kitty was made after the Friday night party by hang over and/or still drunk college students. There were so many things wrong with her that the poor Kitty had to spend some time at the factory and then a visit to Lippert. Lost her for a little over a month. What also sucked was some of the small stuff listed in the brochure was not installed on my cat. Some clause on the brochure that says they can do that. Me thinks that stinks.
