Wildcat in Hawkes Bay New Zealand
Hi there Wildcat People
We have a reverse plan Wildcat 28RKBS. We are travelling full time and are currently located at Clifton Beach which is adjacent to Cape Kidnappers on the east coast of the North island in New Zealand
I am attempting to load some photos of the rig and location

Oh dang dude, all your stuff is on the wrong side!! Wow that looks weird. Anyway, welcome aboard. Nice looking rig. I would be totally confused there. But, like in Japan, I would get used to it. Especially to see some of the places you are showing us so far! Nice.

to the forum from the U.K.. A Wild Cat with a door on the right side I could do with one of those, its a bit of a danger having to get in the Cat if we are parked on a roadway.

Sweet! I've seen pics of reverse plan trailers before but wondered why they exist. Never realized till now that right hand drive would require a reverse plan to use a campsite that's for right hand drive. Your door will be on correct side for the fire ring, lantern post and picnic table. Just thought, hook ups would be on the right side in your country as well.

Re: Wildcat in Hawkes Bay New Zealand
We love our 28RK. Got lots of compliments on the layout.
We also have a 2000 35' triple slide Challenger which has the kitchen inside the middle of the unit door and the livingroom further back, another different type of layout. Makes for a nice livingroom and the kitchen breaks up the trip to the bedroom/bath upstairs.
Ooops almost forgot to say how much we enjoyed our visit to the north island back in the 80's. Spent almost two weeks driving around and staying in hotel/motels. We particularly enjoyed the Bay of Islands (I think that was the name).

Hi Earl
I kinda wish that NZ camping grounds had the sort of organisation that you seem to enjoy in the US, our camping grounds are not designed for Wildcats but for much smaller campervans and caravans. This makes it real interesting getting the trailer into the required spot. The Chev towing vehicle has a standard turning circle that is no doubt ok in the US but lends itself to a lot of twisting and turning here.
Also our roads apart from near the bigger places (that is a relative term NZ population is 4.4 million total on a land mass the size of Japan or the UK) where we have 4 lane stuff are a 12' sealed strip when you consider the 8' width of the cat you can no doubt imagine the hairy situations we sometimes find ourselves in
