Damaged The Cat Today
Well I guess it was bound to happen, I was pulling out from my RV-Pad along the house to get the trailer over to the dealer to have the slide adjusted. The back right rear of the trailer cheated to the right while I was pulling out/turning left. The awning support arm caught the edge of the wooden post and yea you guessed it took out the support arm and clearance light lens.
Needless to say I was very ticked off
, but whats done is done..... Told the dealer after you make the adjustment to the slide please fix the awning support arm. Dealer did say that Dometic wont sell just one suppoort arm and they come in pairs, so that will add to the cost of fixing it.
I did make my gate opening a little over a foot wider, so hopefully this will never happen again. Should have the gate re-built in the next couple of days....

Sorry to hear you had a problem. If you own a 5th wheel, sooner or later, we all have had or will have an issue. My issue was the first year we purchased our WC, our tailgate came down and destroyed the front cargo door. It's all a learning experience.

Re: Damaged The Cat Today
Our first outing ever in our Cat. Which is our first fiver ended in turning too sharp and the tail hitting a dumpster near the dump station. Damaged a bike and bike rack too. About a 20" gash in the side.
I brought it to a collison center and said fix it perfect. they did. It was the best work i have ever seen. Joe is a friend and knew the importance. I think I am experienced in a fiver enough now to maybe get a new one but you never know.

We also tapped our awning arm coming through our neighborhood... too many cars parked too close together. One little tap and the arm was broke!! No damage done to the other cars rearview mirror!
Our dealer replaced just the one arm, but it was way expensive!! We just went ahead and used our insurance!!
It really does just make you sick, doesn't it? Sorry...
