Due to a change of inverter
I had to change my Waeco 1000w inverter due to a intermittent problem, I was able to get a Waeco MSK 1000 (SP1000) pure sine wave as the replacement at no extra cost (apart from having to locate and purchase a new remote control, still trying).
In replacing the inverter I thought I would tidy up the battery and inverter area. I had already purchased new breakers to do a new install. 50amp breakers for the Hydraulic pump/power for the Cat and for brake power supply, ( this was already on a 50 amp breaker so I just replaced with a new one of the same amperage). I have linked 2-50 amp breakers at the moment for the inverter, (200 amp one on order). I still have the 2 battery banks that I have wired in separately so that I can always have that little bit in reserve. I made a new panel for mounting the circuit breakers, I now have 3-200amp cutout switches to give control of batteries and inverter. I have mounted the inverter over my voltage transformer using 35mm sq cables. on the feed cables from the batteries to the breaker board I have added an old amp meter that just sits over the cables and gives a rough indication of the amps being used or amps from the charger/solar panel to the batteries. I am quite pleased with the results as it makes the area look cleaner and more importantly safer, as every thing is now labeled and easily identified.[img]

The second picture shows the inverter mounted on a piece of 1.25mm plate that I folded and bolted to the reinforced metal work just to the rear of the landing leg. Below is the voltage transformer needed to reduce the power from 240 volts @ 50 hz to 120 volts 60 hz. @ 5kva. This is the power supply for Fridge/microwave/water heater/fire and Air con.

Re: Due to a change of inverter
I was wondering how you got around the 50HZ. I didn't know if your unit was built for 50HZ or if you had a system like you do. Looks expensive but cheaper than changing everything out for 50HZ.

Re: Due to a change of inverter
There is a little PCB in the transformer housing that some how changes the Hz..
