Slide Out Floor
We own, or rather the bank does, a 30RLBS. We had the table and chair option installed when we ordered the wicked kitty from the factory. On the couch side of the table we have noticed that the floor gives about 3/8's of an inch when you step near the center. Is this normal or will we dining on the ground some day.

Doesn't sound normal but I don't have the same model. Mine is only spongy when the slide is in. Maybe ask your dealer about it?

Re: Slide Out Floor
I have the 30 LSBS with dinning table and chair option and there is very little movement in the slide floor. I weigh about 12 stone 6 lbs.
her indoor weighs less than 8 stone so she would not notice any movement.

Thank you. Well my dealer is out of business. November is my next date at the repair place. I will add this to the list. If they say it is normal then I will wait and see what happens.

Re: Slide Out Floor
Dan,
When the living/dining slide is fully extended on my 29RLBS there is no give to the slide edge. It is firmly against the floor of the trailer. When the slide is fully retracted there is about 3/4" give at the center and mayber 3/8" at the ends. Been that way since I owned the Cat.
When the slide fully extends it kind of moves out and down at the end of it's travel, bringing the slide edge in contact with the trailer floor.
Hope this helps.

Mike - Mine is about the same except when it is fully extended I have about 3/8s (It might be 1/2 inch) flex under the dining table.

Dan,
Is that end of the slide making solid contact between the camper wall and the surround of the slide? If there's a space at the bottom on that end the travel on the slide needs to be adjusted out some. Probably that 3/8". Just a thought.

Mike,
Contact is fine, it is good and tight, but the middle of the floor, between the outside wall of the slide and the trailer, under the table flexes.

Re: Slide Out Floor
I was also wondering if there are different slide floors? One can have a thinner floor because the Bench Dinette has more support than the table set up.

Re: Slide Out Floor
Our bench dinette was removed when we bought used. (2009 model) When the slide is fully extended and you step in the slide you feel like you are stepping on a bouncy floor, and it gives some.
Our neighbor, here at the campground, has a Montana. Her's does the same.
I think this is usually not noticable because from the factory there would have been a full length sofa, and then the booth dinette, so we would have never 'stepped' there otherwise.
When you think about it, there is not much support under the slide when extended. So there is nothing preventing the 'flex' that you are describing.
I would say that what you are experiencing sounds normal, but I am no expert.
