Slideout Problem
My slideout wants to move out when I am on the road! Not very far, just an inch or two. Any answers?

Re: Slideout Problem
Welcome to the forum. Assuming you have hydraulic slides, are you sure you are bringing the slides in completely until they stop and put a little pressure on the hydraulic pump? The pistons on the slides are of a push/pull nature they are held in place by the pressure from the hydraulic system. if they are not set it could allow your problem to occur

Re: Slideout Problem
Could be air in the system, internal leak in cylinder, internal leak in pump or an external leak such as connections or hoses.

Re: Slideout Problem
Also check the the valve at the pump, there is one for the landing legs and one for the slides. the one for the landing legs on my cat is set high near the legs, one for the slides set low near the pump,

Re: Slideout Problem
Thanks for the input gang. I have a 2009 28RKBS and my jacks are electric. My slides are the only hydrulics on the unit. My oil levels are up, no leaks, and I put pressure on the slide when I pull it in. We are on our way to Florida for the winter, and should have lots of time to work on this problem, if I can get away from the surf fishing... Thanks again Chuckles
I'll keep my eye on this forum for more input.

Re: Slideout Problem
Have to agree with Sean it is probably the back flow valve. We occasionally had the same problem in the fire department on our ladder truck once the aerial was set it would drift down because the valve was allowing a small amount of fluid to pass before it closed completely, once replaced it was ok. Good Luck and tight Lines
