Stereo system

Post by kdteach on Wed Oct 13, 2010 7:47 am

I have a 2007 32' wildcat. Unfortunately as a first time owner this have been a very painful experience. My stereo went out recently and will not turn on. I have checked the fuses and they seem fine. I have had the stereo replaced 3 times and "fixed" another 4 times (yes 7 times on one issue). In addition my side camper lights don't work either (the yellow lights). Everything else works and I have not been able to get it fixed at Youngs RV in Fremont Ohio since I bought it new. Any suggestions that I could do or check would be greatly appreciated.

welcome to the forum from the U.K.
The side lights could be just a broken or loose wire, check the wiring in the junction box at the pin box this is a place that could suffer from broken/loose wires. You could also check the wiring at a light fitting with a multi meter for continuity in the wiring.
As for the concertone I personally think they are a bit of a lost cause.

The radios stink in a Wildcat. They need to invest in a new model.

Yes the Stereo system is not one of The Wildcats better items. We have had it replaced every year we have had it . We did get the extended warranty. Thanks to the wife, but when it expires I'm not to sure what to do. I think I'll go to WalMart and get a cheap home system and install it , but it won't be 12 volt.

Jensen I have heard a lot about. There is one small problem with a Jensen. The hole for our stereo is designed the wrong way. It is almost twice as wide.
