Inexpensive peace of mind..............
Hey gang,
I recently took a trip to Harbor Frieght Tools and found a little treasure. I have attached photos. These little alarms are great peace of mind when you leave your RV. They are also great to alert you from sleep if someone tries to come in. (valuable time to grab the pistola). As we all know if someone wants to steal they will regardless of the locks you have. I picked these up for a few dollars each (literally) They run on three small watch batteries so that could be a cost later on, but they are a GREAT investment. Noise and light will be the two best defenses against a burglar. I placed this inside the door frame on my FVER, and on the compartment doors. When they are on and the magnet is seperated from the alarm, it sounds. If nothing else it will make someone take off from the noise. It could easily be disarmed and even broken off, but for a cheap fix it works for me. Thought I would share.

How do you disarm them when you want to open the door?

Scottz, there is a little black on/off switch on the side. It is not fancy at all, but it is cheap

I bought a cheap alarm at harbour freight about 12.50 and put it on lantern post with receiver in bedroom. Anyone comes in site goes off. When I leave I put near open kitchen window and they hear it from outside and usually leave my site

Thanks for the idea. I had been thinking of what I could do for the batteries on the front of my TT. I want to secure them also, but the initial shock of an alarm going off would distract would be bad guys from spending the time to figure out a way to remove them.
